What we do
The Yukon government’s Department of Education believes in delivering innovative, experiential and high-quality education to students across the territory. We are committed to building diverse teams that are creative and utilize their strengths in the classroom. Being an educational assistant in the Yukon means that you will play a key role in providing education to the territory’s nearly 6000 students across 34 schools.
Yukon Education
Educational assistants work in a variety of different areas within the Department of Education. Most work in classrooms with children who need support, but educational assistants also work on buses, for the student support services branch in specialized areas such as occupational therapy, speech, language and social skills, deaf and hard of hearing and visually impaired supports and in other locations such as the Teen Parent Centre or the Individual Learning Centre.
